Maria M. McDonald is an oil painter who creates figurative and abstract work. She enjoys using vibrant colors and creating unique color combinations. In December of 2023 she received her BFA in Painting from Kent State University. She paints about her experiences and emotions and draws inspiration from mythology, religious texts, pop culture, music, and objects. She also is attracted to the energy around people and objects and how light radiates through space. The paintings she creates are inspired by her own experiences she has had while navigating through her life so far.
